Students of all standards are invited to dive into this exciting five day drawing intensive that will alternate days between drawing from a life model in our Elsternwick studio, and drawing from Old Master Artworks at the National Gallery of Victoria.

Throughout the week, students will study the language of representational art through both a practical and historical lens, while deeply investigating how to use this artistic methodology in contemporary times as a tool of self expression. You will not only learn how to improve your capacity in drawing, but you will also gain a fresh understanding of classical approaches to the challenges of drawing.

We’re thrilled to welcome back tutor Troy Argyros during his brief return to Melbourne. Troy holds a Bachelor of Fine Art and a Graduate Diploma of Visual Arts Education from Monash University, and is currently undertaking academic training at The Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. He has exhibited in many group exhibitions in Australia including the EMSLA and AME Bale, has held five solo exhibitions in Melbourne, and his work also belongs to several private collections. Troy is also the winner of the 2017 Graeme Hildebrand Prize for Emerging Artists in the oil painting category.
