Throughout this one day workshop, with Bridget Hillebrand, students will learn the techniques of drypoint and chine collé. Drypoints can be developed as an exciting extension to other art practices and students are encouraged to work from their own drawings or photographs. Chine Collé is a technique that allows you to add colour to your prints and enables you to print on delicate papers which are bonded onto a heavier support paper during the printing process. Students will learn how to transfer a drawing, prepare a plate, and print a small edition.
Students are required to bring or purchase their own materials for this course. A materials list will be emailed a couple of weeks prior to the commencement of the course. Kits purchased through the school are priced with a 20% discount, and can be picked up at the beginning of the first class. If the full kit is not required, individual items can be purchased in person at the studio.
IMPORTANT: Before confirming your booking, please read the terms and conditions on our check out page thoroughly as we do not offer refunds or transfers.
If you can’t make this date, we are planning a second printmaking workshop in June.
