Why is abstract art so powerful? How does the artist convey the feelings that compel people to become engaged with non-figurative work?
This workshop is perfect for students who wish learn how to convey affective personal expression using colour, texture and carefully curated collage. Open to beginner to advanced students who wish to explore personal artistic language and “loosen up” through the making of 2 dimensional images
Taught by Melbourne Studio of Art Director Dena Lester, students will learn how to develop a series of studies that will lead to the completion of one resolved artwork that looks at both the “form” (composition) of the work and the “content” (meaning and story).
Base materials are included in the price of the workshop, but please note that students will be required to purchase or provide their own large scale canvas or board for the final work. Before confirming your booking, please read our terms and conditions thoroughly as we are unable to offer refunds, credits or transfers.
