This one-day workshop will allow students to explore the medium of oil painting, using a series of exercises to introduce a range of essential concepts and techniques such as the nature of colour mixing, the properties of oil paints, mediums and the various approaches to using them.
Ignacio Rojas was born in Chile, and migrated to Australia in 2001. With over 30 group and solo shows under his belt and a double degree in Fine Arts and Sociology, Ignacio’s chief artistic interests focus on Ala Prima (single attempt or wet on wet) painting. Ignacio’s passion for painting and teaching make his classes dynamic and productive, and you will leave the session armed with a range of new processes and techniques.
