This workshop is designed to develop observational abilities for the purpose of better understanding the human figure and the placing of the figure within a variety of spacial and lighting contexts.
Conventional drawing media such as charcoal and pencil will be used initially and brushes, ink and acrylic paints may be introduced as the lighting situations become more complex.
This workshop could be undertaken by people with little experience but the material presented in this intensive will be invaluable for the development of more experienced artists.
Geoff Dupree is a Master artist with a long history of teaching at leading Fine Art Institutions. He has a reputation for conveying information in a way that is accessible and articulate where student both learn how to improve their capacity to draw what they see while retaining a sense of personal expression and mark making.
