Designed for absolute beginners to intermediate students, these brand new private classes offer an exclusive opportunity to receive one-on-one mentoring from one of Melbourne’s most exciting contemporary artists. With a professional practice spanning 10 years, Brock Q. Piper‘s classes are thoughtful and energetic, and his passion and commitment to sharing his deep knowledge with students will leave you inspired to use creativity as a way to stay mind healthy both day-to-day and particularly during isolation.

Throughout each session, Brock will introduce a key principle of abstraction and will guide you step-by-step through contemporary drawing or oil painting techniques to create an expressive and non-figurative work of art, providing detailed guidance and demonstrations of specific processes which will elevate your confidence and allow you to build on your practice after the session ends.

Sessions can be booked individually or on a recurring basis, and will be facilitated online through live virtual classrooms on the platform Zoom. Students will be required to supply their own materials for these sessions; our recommended drawing and oil painting kits are priced with a 25% student discount and can be added to your booking below, and will be delivered contactless before your session. Individual items from the materials list can also be purchased at our art supply store in the studio between 10am – 11am on Mondays, or by appointment.

Before confirming your booking, please read our terms and conditions thoroughly as we are unable to offer refunds, credits or transfers.
